Chinese Get Gagged
So, the powers that be in China have set down a whole bunch of new rules on how website can report news. It amazes me, how, in this day and age, a government can get away with this kind of thing: disseminating propoganda in order to control the masses. The rest of the world simply stares in disbelief (except Americans who don't know about anything outside of their continent) and is frozen on the spot as they fail to comprend the sheer audacity of the Chinese Govt.

This is the bit that makes my hair stand on end:

(Internet news sites) must be directed toward serving the people and socialism and insist on correct guidance of public opinion for maintaining national and public interests.

This peice came from Slashdot

Bite the wax tadpole.
In China, a Coca-Cola ad used Chinese symbols to sound out "Coca-Cola" phonetically. The soda company withdrew the ad after learning the symbols "Co" "Ca" "Co" "La" meant "Bite the wax tadpole."

I love Brigadier John Lorimer
"At the point of a 30mm cannon - no shots were fired - but at the point of this cannon, the Iraqi police gave away the location of where the two British soldiers had been taken," he said.

Don't fuck with this man, the commander of 12 Mechanised Brigade (which sounds like something out of a computer game.)

Peep the full story here.

Lesbians
Guys: here is a conundrum. Imagine you are a lesbian, would you ever be able to get out of bed to meet other lesbians?

Girls: Ssshh. Don't mess with the dream.

Also, in other news, Michael Winner - what a cock.

If you use iTunes - and anyone with half a brain would. You'll know about the iTunes music store - but, maybe you didn't know about the videos you can watch for free?

Well, now you do.

Did you know you can also have those vidoes, to keep, for ever? Aha! If you have a Mac, it is easy, you just get yourself a copy of iGetVideo and follow the instructions (if you can, after all, you DO own a Mac).

For Windows users, you can use this site: iTunes Music Store Extractor. You need to signup and wait for the lottery to pick you (most people get picked that night though, not sure it's actually a lottery) and bobs your uncle, you can download about 30gbs worth of Music Videos in Quicktime Format.

Crap site
So, I was busy typing some nasty shit about the Bush administration and their incompetance, the head of FEMA being sucked off and how much you all suck suck suck, I clicked the fucking button and it all dissapeared and logged me out.

WHAT A CROCK OF SHIT.

Safe to say it was all witty, erudite, charming and well researched nasty shit. Just visit any news website and you'll see.

Hey, do any of you crackheads listen to podcasts? If so, which ones, post in the comments.

Don't know what a podcast is? Get off the web, give your computer back and boil your face.

Hello bitches and Hurricane Katrina
My first ever post, how I doth grin with glee. Hello web scrotes, my name is Mike and I am in ill-informed, badly researched moron. I hope you enjoy my witterings as much as I enjoy imagining your face as you try to comprehend THE ... WORDS ... COMING ... OUT ... OF ... MY ... MOUTH (or, the keystrokes, as I stroke my keys in order to bring about an ejaculation of literary bullshit). As I'm too lazy to write something now, here is something I wrote a couple of days ago for another site.

Right, this might seem very, very insensitive, but I calls 'em as I see's 'em, OK fuckers?

It would seem that the USA had several days to prepare itself for what was about to happen - questions need to be asked as to why nothing was done sooner, or quicker. Let me quote from that BBC news page:

A former official in the Clinton administration, Sydney Blumenthal, has written in Der Spiegel: "In early 2001, the Federal Emergency Management Agency issued a report stating that a hurricane striking New Orleans was one of the three most likely disasters in the US, including a terrorist attack on New York City.

"But by 2003 the federal funding for the flood control project essentially dried up as it was drained into the Iraq war."

So, let me get this straight, and, as ever, anything coming from any government source should not be relied on to be true, but in this instance we'll let that slide, the money that the US was going to spend on preparing for any flood or hurricane that whizzed through the south was actually spent on bombing the fuck out of civillians in another country.

Wow, you need to think about that one quite hard, let it sink in for a moment. The reason that the US was unable to help itself was because it was busy bombing someone else.

I had an email from the iTunes music store - it was a request for money to be donated to the Red Cross to help with this emergency - well, that's fair enough, there are people in a lot of trouble in Biloxi and New Orleans and surrounding areas - but I never got any email asking me to donate money to any Aid authority who were out helping the civillians in Iraq after they had been fucked over by an invading force.

How does it feel? Does it smart? Do you think now that Mr Bush is still the right man for the job?

If you would like to make a donation to the Red Cross you can do so here.
